@DameAshley my heart goes out to him. it's been a tough year for all of the kids. most people will probably never realize the extent of the damage that has been done to this generation, but we're all going to see the effects of that damage for decades. we've managed to psychologically regress our species in a matter of 12 months. it's going to take a loooooooong time to recover from that.

Ah, here we go. I hypothesized the whole "racist against Asian" thing was a psyop in support of China. A headline from Epoch Times:

Beijing Exploiting Anti-Asian Attacks to Shun US Criticism, ‘Delegitimize’ America

meanwhile in Poland (Polish tiktoker, this video went viral globally with millions of views):

3/3 He didn't go. His daughter was now one of the many lost to traffickers.

Days after she was abducted, local news warned that cake decorating jobs were bring used to attract young women to traffickers.

The death penalty is too good for every motherfucker involved this this horror. Fuck 👏 Them 👏 All 👏 And every politician who allows it. May they choke on their own dicks.

What the Harris-Biden admin is allowing has me boiling over.

Same for me. I love to road travel and depend on my car's GPS totally. My brain may not know how to use a paper road map anymore. This article truly hit me where my heart has been for a few years. The smartphone is my biggest choice of an albatross and I despise that truth. I sometimes sit in my car someplace and look at the parked cars or people around me and see how many people are looking at a screen. When I see a parent pushing a stroller with one hand and looking at his or her phone with the other I see such a loss. When I see parents at the playground engrossed in their phones while their children play on the equipment I feel sad. When I have people I love around me looking at their phones during a visit I am wishing it wasn't so.

When I am at the beach or on a nature walk and see people on their phones I am wondering why.

Don't get me wrong, I am as guilty of what I witness(minus the children part because my children as little ones were just before the regular use of smartphones)

It is just at this time for me the scales of digital life have shifted where the negatives have outweighed the positives.

As I said abandoning social media is the easiest part of me. It has become less appealing in the last 10 years. When I got banned from Twitter and being grateful for that ban really showed me what a waste it had been.

I am not going to lie. I like it here at Gitmo. I enjoy being with reasonable people who think critically especially during these times. I appreciate Glenn and Manny for all they have provided. I especially appreciate their independent minds.

I know the privacy issue with smartphones is huge for me. It makes me bristle. I may try the ween but I wonder if I should quit cold turkey. Probably not. I started by deleting many apps. But not being tech savvy as others I am not certain of every place or platform my privacy is at risk. Who to trust?

What a strange place we have landed in is all I say.

Thanks for sharing. It is always good to know others feel the same because too many do look at me like I am an alien when I talk about this stuff. In the end I will do what works for me. Damn be the digital peer pressure.

ITM y'all! I keep hearing that the grown-ups are back in charge. So then why does the world feel like it's 1000x more clown?

Has anybody dug up a deeper story on who arm twisted Noem? She's apparently decided to hands-off college sports. Did some university presidents get her in a room and paint a scary picture for her?

I still believe she's not gutless and not stupid; there's something in the shadows. When we had reporters, they'd go find it. These days, crowdsourcing seems like the only hope.
