@vandys There are liberal enclaves that are going to take years to resolve. I have relatives in Seattle WA who think drop boxes are secure, don’t see high rent as a result of liberal policies and regulations and don’t go into downtown Seattle anymore because of safety issues but still vote Democrat. It’s frustrating, maddening and crazy but it’s the power of the matrix. The best you can do is be there when that world crumbles and help them through the shock.

During this ink sketch I ran out of black ink by the way.

My business partner and I ordered an epoxy grout pump machine so we will be equipped to do the grouting portion of bridge piling repairs. The machine is manufactured in the U.S.

We need a hydraulic pack to make it run. We compared packs and were ready to make a purchase but the Honda engines are out of stock and are not expected to arrive this year, at all. Our only "choice" is to get the China made engine (Rhino).

We are frustrated.

Show of hands. How many of you dismissed conspiracy theories you heard years ago as crazy, fringe, lunatic stuff - and are now reviewing those theories with a different eye?

The leap from text-based interactive interpreted BASIC systems to C++ based compilation-driven GUIs made everything much weirder and harder than it ever needed to be.

The Smalltalk / Dynabook vision wasn't that. It was basically "BASIC, but with a GUI".

Smalltalk's day might have passed, but something LIKE that really needs to come around again.

After the last time I called to cancel my subscription, WSJ dropped my monthly bill to $4. Next month it’s going back up to $20 and after reading this lazy piece of journalism I think it’s time to cancel entirely.
